INSIGHTS was built on a simple conviction: that rigorous research and real-world policy need not live in separate worlds. Too often, the most careful academic thinking never reaches the people making decisions, and the most consequential decisions are made without the benefit of that thinking.

We are an independent research organisation bridging academia, practice, and governance, and we are, deliberately, a young one. Our fellows and contributors span international law, foreign policy, security studies, political economy, public health, heritage, and the digital frontier.

What we do

Our work moves across three registers: deep research through our regional and thematic centres, public-facing writing that translates that research for a wider audience, and convenings that bring scholars and practitioners into the same room.

This is the beginning of a longer conversation. We hope you will join it.
